THERAPY THAT MEETS YOU
WHERE YOU ARE

Maybe you know exactly what you're struggling with.

Or maybe you just know something doesn't feel quite right.

COUNSELLING SERVICES

Individual Adults

Individual adult sessions prioritize your unique concerns and experiences to support you in navigating life's challenges. Whether we're talking about anxiety, struggles in friendships/ situationships/partnerships, life transitions, grief, or parenting, through a collaborative and supportive approach, we'll work together to empower you in overcoming obstacles, creating harmonious relationships, and living a fulfilling life.

Individual Youth (12+)

Navigating friendships, family life, academics, sports, extracurriculars, and other aspects of adolescence can be challenging. Youth counselling is available for clients aged 12-17 and psychological services provide support for both the youth and, if desired, their caregiver(s). I incorporate a variety of playful, engaging, and evidence-based treatments adapted to each client's unique needs and development.

In Person & Virtual

In person services are in office #303 at 5083 Windermere Blvd., Edmonton. Phone and video sessions are available for clients located anywhere in Alberta.

You don't have to arrive with everything figured out.

We can just start with gentle curiosity, wherever you are.

Evidence-based

therapy with Lindsay Lehman, provisional psychologist

EMDR Therapy

Sometimes difficult experiences can stick with us long after they're over, showing up in the way we think, feel, or react. EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) helps us gently get curious about those experiences and support your brain in processing them, so they don't feel quite so overwhelming anymore.

IFS-Informed Therapy

Have you ever felt like one part of you wants one thing, while another part wants the complete opposite? IFS-informed (Internal Family Systems-informed) therapy invites us to explore all the different parts of you—even the ones you don't always understand or like—so we can begin to understand what they might be trying to do for you and what they need to feel safe.

DBT-Based Therapy

DBT (Dialectical Behaviour Therapy) focuses on practical skills that can help you navigate intense emotions, manage distress, strengthen relationships, and feel more present in your life. It combines acceptance and change, helping you honour exactly where you are while also building tools to move toward where you want to be.

Play-Assisted Therapy

Sometimes it’s easier to express what’s going on through creativity, movement, art, or play, rather than through words alone. If it feels like a good fit for you, we can incorporate drawing, creative activities, movement, or toys into our sessions as another way to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences.

WHY CURIOSITY MATTERS

A CURIOUS MINDSET CAN BE CULTIVATED AND BECOMES MORE EASY TO ACCESS WITH INTENTIONAL PRACTICE.

CURIOUS BRAINS ENCODE AND REMEMBER INFORMATION MORE EFFECTIVELY.

CURIOSITY HELPS US BECOME MORE WILLING TO EXPLORE DIFFICULT EMOTIONS WITHOUT IMMEDIATELY AVOIDING THEM, INCREASING TOLERANCE FOR UNCERTAINTY.

CURIOSITY HELPS STRENGTHEN EMPATHY AND DEEPEN RELATIONSHIPS WITH OURSELVES AND OTHERS.

BEING CURIOUS ACTIVATES THE BRAIN'S REWARD SYSTEM, RELEASES DOPAMINE INTO THE NERVOUS SYSTEM, AND IS ASSOCIATED WITH HIGHER RATES OF HAPPINESS.

CURIOSITY IS A DESIRE TO ENHANCE UNDERSTANDING WITH OPENNESS TO EXPLORING NEW POSSIBILITIES.
